Leu Gardens closed as crews work to clean up storm damage

Leu Gardens is currently closed to the general public, but will still host a few upcoming events as volunteers work to clean up the garden in anticipation of reopening again soon.

The park, which is located at 1920 North Forest Avenue, has been closed to the public since Hurricane Ian passed through Central Florida last week. Although events and weddings have proceeded as scheduled, the gardens have been closed until further notice due to storm debris clean-up and tree removal.

On Friday, October 7, the park will still host its regular Movie Night with a screening of the original Ghostbusters movie. Tickets are available at Leu Gardens website.

The park will host a community hurricane clean-up day on Saturday, October 8, beginning at 8 a.m. Anyone interested in volunteering must first register through Leu Gardens’ website.
