Homeless man missing, last seen in Volusia County

Police are asking the public to help locate a homeless man who was last seen in Volusia County over a month ago.

According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, 39-year-old Robert Parsons was last seen in mid-August at the Sunoco gas station located at 4521 N. U. 17 in DeLeon Springs.

Parsons’ family is worried that something may have happened to him, possibly during Hurricane Ian. Although he is homeless, he usually calls his parents in DeLand every few days, according to his family.

He has no transportation and has not reached out to his parents since then.

Parsons has brown hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a tank top, black swim shorts, and black shoes. Police believe he may be in the Daytona Beach area.

If you see Parsons or can help police locate him, contact Volusia County Sheriff’s Office detectives at 386-943-7866.
