A grill was behind a garage fire that broke out at a Winter Springs home this weekend.
On Saturday, October 15, at around 7:43 p.m., Seminole County Fire Department personnel responded to a home at Ermine Avenue in Winter Springs.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a residential fire that was started in a garage by a grill. According to authorities, Engine 26 had water on the fire in less than a minute and a half.
The fire was contained to a garage before it extended to the kitchen and engulfed one vehicle on the property.
All six occupants of the home and two dogs were evacuated and are safe.
