300 films being screened in downtown Orlando as film festival returns this week

A popular, 8-day film festival will showcase over 300 films in Orlando this week.

The Orlando Film Festival will return to downtown Orlando for its 17th installment beginning Thursday, October 27 through Thursday, November 3 at CMX Plaza Cinema Cafe, which is located at 155 S Orange Avenue.

The 8-day event will feature more than 300 films, as well as industry panels and workshops with filmmakers, directors and actors. Nightly parties will accompany the festivities, as well as multiple opportunities to network with industry professionals.

The festival will culminate with an award ceremony that features prizes valued at more than one million dollars, according to the organization.

Multiple genres of film will be featured among the narrative and documentary features, including action, horror, comedy, suspense, and others. Additionally, over 150 short films will be screened during the event.
