David A. Rengel

David A. Rengel, 81, passed on October 19, 2022. He was born to Alphonse W. Rengel and Isabel M. Rengel in St Louis, Missouri on June 02, 1941.

He proudly served our nation in the U.S. Navy with posts on the USS Antietam and at the Naval Base Port Lyautey in Morocco.

After his service with the Navy, he found his forever home with Karen (Johnson) Rengel when they married June 17, 1967. Together they raised 3 children, Kristine Rengel, Jennifer Rengel (Randall Landers), and Kimberly Rengel Furnish. They moved several times but spent the last 40 years in Central Florida. Ultimately, though, wherever Karen was, that was home.

David is survived by his sister, Fran Bader (Ken Bader) and 3 grandchildren Samantha, Veronica and Calvin. He also has many nieces and nephews.

He found his greatest joy in raising his family, watching his girls grow up, and reveling in their triumphs. He passed on his love of the St. Louis Cardinals to each of his girls! Upon becoming a proud Pop Pop, David treasured his time with his beautiful grandchildren.
