Bojangles planning new location in Lake County

Bojangles, which closed its locations in Central Florida in 2015, has been slowly rolling back into the area and is currently planning to build a new location in Lake County.

Bojangles will break ground on a new location in Clermont after the first of the year, according to the company’s public relations team. The new, 2,858 square-foot location will occupy space along West Colonial Drive, within a new shopping center.

The new restaurant will include a drive-thru and is currently in the early planning stages. A firm timeline has not been announced, but construction records estimate that construction should begin sometime in the second quarter of 2023.

The establishment will mark the 12th Bojangles restaurant in the state of Florida, joining two others in Central Florida. In addition to the Clermont location, Bojangles opened a new restaurant in Sanford last month and one in Ocala in 2018.

In addition to the Sanford and Ocala locations, the company has restaurants in Gainesville, Orange Park, Tallahassee, St. Augustine, and Jacksonville, among other locations in Florida.
