Brett Creel

On the morning of October 23, 2022, Brett passed away from a fatal accident.

Brett was born on August 29, 2000 in Orlando, Florida. He was the fourth child of Stanley and Teri Creel. Brett’s zest for life was known by all who knew him. He was funny, quick witted and loved jokes. He had such a sweet and thoughtful heart, always going out of his way to help others. He cared so much for his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, fishing, playing golf and volleyball, and all things sports.

He followed his family legacy as a Boone High School graduate and continued the legacy as the fourth member to attend Florida State University. Brett aspired to become a medical doctor with a minor in finance. He was expecting to earn his bachelor’s degree in public health in May 2023. Brett prioritized his education and consistently earn his spot the President’s and Dean’s list while in school. He was also a fraternity brother of Kappa Alpha Order.

Brett developed great fondness after becoming a camp counselor and board member at Camp Kesem, an organization devoted to helping children whose parents have been diagnosed with cancer. In addition, he was passionate about giving back through charity volunteer work.

Brett is a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend to many. Brett is survived by his parents, Stanley and Teri Creel, his sister, Niccole Edwins, and her husband, Brian Edwins, his two nieces, Aubree and Ellie Edwins, his nephew, Easton Edwins, his sister, Kristi Monn, and her husband, Hunter Monn, his brother, Michael Creel, his grandmother, Rose Marie Thornton, his uncle and aunt, Kevin and Terrie Thornton, his uncle, Jay Thornton, along with many cousins.

His celebration of life will be held on November 3, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando located at 106 East Church Street, Orlando, Florida, 32801. Reception to follow. You may also join virtually at fpco.org/funeral.

The Creel family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to their friends, extended family, and community for their outpouring of support, love, and prayers regarding the loss of Brett. He will truly be missed and remembered in reverence by all.
