Richard Albert LaPorta

ast Lyme, CT – Richard Albert LaPorta passed away on October 12, 2022, in Florida, surrounded by his family.

Richard was the oldest of two children born to Judith and Anthony LaPorta on May 2, 1958, and spent most of his life living in East Lyme, Connecticut. He attended high school at Norwich Free Academy and was actively involved in basketball. He studied at Stetson University in Florida and graduated with an MBA in both marketing and business management.

In 2000 Richard established the publishing company Husky Trail Press LLC. He was committed to helping people get their stories and information published. He was involved in the Southeast Chapter of CAPA, and enjoyed working with its members and his authors.

He is survived by his sister Patricia, brother-in-law Noel Sorensen, and many cousins. Richard loved his family, friends, and church community at Bishop Seabury Church. He was committed to the Lord and helping animals.

Memorial service will be held on November 12th, at 11:00, at Bishop Seabury Anglican Church in Gales Ferry, Connecticut. A luncheon will follow.
