Tao Group building $1 billion, 350-acre resort in Orlando

A group that operates dozens of upscale restaurants around the world has announced plans to build its first hotel in Orlando.

Tao Group Hospitality will build its first-ever TAO-branded resort in Orlando, according to a press release issued by the company earlier this week.

Currently operating more than 70 branded locations in 20 markets across the world, the company is partnering with Unicorp National Developments to build the new, 350-acre property in O-Town West, which is estimated to cost approximately $1 billion.

The property will be designed by the Rockwell Group and will embody the “upscale nature of all Tao Group Hospitality branded locations,” reads the release. The hotel will encompass a TAO Asian Bistro, rooftop experience, meeting space, fitness center, and multiple other amenities.

Tao Group Hospitality also operates more than 40 branded locations inside existing hotels across the world, including seven stand-alone properties for which the group handles full food and beverage operations including room service.

“A hotel was the natural evolution for us”, said Tao Group Hospitality Co-CEO Noah Tepperberg. “We’ve had the honor of working with some of the world’s top hotel developers, and we’re really excited to create a property that truly reflects the TAO lifestyle.”

The company projects the new hotel to be open in 2025.
