White Castle says that its Orlando location, which is less than a year old, is the top performing restaurant in the United States.
With over 350 locations in 13 states, the business says the Orlando restaurant is outperforming all others. Billed as the largest free-standing White Castle in the world, the location is on pace to sell a record 5,000,000 sliders by its one-year anniversary on May 3.
The Orlando location marked return of White Castle to Florida since it opened four restaurants in Miami in the 1960s.
According to a press release from the company, besides selling a record number of sliders, the Orlando location also used a record 40,000 eggs to make breakfast sliders.
“We had so many loyal fans in Central Florida who were eagerly anticipating White Castle’s arrival, but the response this past year has far exceeded our expectations,” said Jamie Richardson, White Castle vice president.
The Orlando restaurant, which is located at 11595 Daryl Carter Parkway, employs 120 staff and can accommodate 200 guests.
This summer, the company says it plans on updating the business hours for its Orlando location to 24-hours-a-day to accommodate the demand.
“We are so glad to have a Castle in Orlando,” said Richardson.
