Dog food, toys, other supplies sought for elderly pet owners

Longwood Police Department is hosting a pet supply drive to help elderly pet owners across the area.

In partnership with the Seniors Intervention Group, LPD is asking the community for donations of pet pads, dog food for all dog types, toys, treats, bowls, and leashes.

Supplies and donations may be dropped off at the Longwood Police Department lobby any weekday during the month of May from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Seniors Intervention Group helps senior citizens over the age of 64 who need assistance with daily tasks, driving, food insecurity, or other difficulties they’re facing. For more information on the group, visit the Seniors Intervention Group website.
