Lights Up, Volume Low: Special needs screening of new Spider-Man movie

A local theater will host a sensory-friendly, special needs screening of the recently released Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

The special screening of the new Spider-Man film will take place on Saturday, June 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Studio Movie Grill, which is located at 3204 Margaritaville Boulevard in Kissimmee.

The show will feature a completely sensory-friendly, special needs screening of the movies with the lights up, the volume low, and everyone moving around, talking, and even dancing in the aisles.

Tickets are free for all attendees and available at the box office only. Parental guidance is suggested.

The film follows Miles Morales, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, who is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. However, when the heroes clash over how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the rest of the Spider-People. He must soon redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
