Bernice Osburn

Bernice Osburn, 88, passed away on Sunday April 7, 2024 in Homosassa, FL.

She was born Nov. 1, 1935 to Henry and Dorothy (Westerfield) Duym. Ber moved to Orlando, FL when she was young and graduated from Orlando High School. She is a retired sales associate for the Navy Exchange and is of Catholic faith. As an avid and gifted gardener, Ber loved working outside in her yard, going to the beach and watching Classic movies. She really loved music, shopping and was known for always being very well dressed. In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her two husbands, William Sandbrink and James Osburn; stepmother Velda Duym and brother William Duym.

She is survived by four children: Melany LaChausse (husband Thomas), Homosassa, FL; Richard Sandbrink, Lakeland, FL; Scarlet Marsil (husband Ellison), Deltona, FL and Lana Gillette (husband Philip), also Deltona, FL. She has twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren residing in Florida and Texas, and sisters Diana Simmons, Orlando, FL; Sharon Delano, Clermont, FL and Gayle Coleman, Orlando, FL.
