Sandra P. Becker

In loving memory of our mother, Sandra Payne Becker, who passed away on April 12, 2024. Sandra was the loving wife of Carl Becker and mother of Catherine Riesbeck, Carolyn Hayes, Cynthia Meyerer and Andrew Becker. Sandy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sandy was ever devoted to her family first and foremost, and to her friends who she loved so much. She was elegant and gracious throughout her life, but she was also brave and strong. She persevered and kept our family together, by herself, for the past 26 years since the passing of her loving husband, Carl. She was fiercely loyal to her family and to those who loved her. She was so proud of her 11 grandchildren and found a way to be in all their lives and have a special and different relationship with each one of them.

She took her role as wife, Mother, Nana, mentor, and friend seriously and put everything she had into those roles. She was a class act and the blueprint for what we all can be. She was constantly surrounded by photos of her family and friends and always found a way to keep connected with everyone. She loved her life and those who were in it. She was the most special person to so many and the most giving and loving person we know.

She was our anchor since our father passed away and we are devastated by the loss but know that the past 4 years have been particularly harsh for her with injuries and illness. Throughout all of it, she fought bravely to be here for all of us. We are trying to find peace with the knowledge that she was spared any further pain. She was feeling and looking great and had amazingly happy times in the last year, spending important moments with family and friends. She passed peacefully surrounded by family. We know that she is at peace in Heaven and reunited with Carl. We have another angel looking over us and rooting us all on. She will be missed beyond belief.

Sandy was predeceased by her husband, Carl, her parents, and her sister, Gail. She is survived by her 4 children, their spouses and her grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Highland Memory Gardens on May 8th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and funeral service will be held at Wekiva Presbyterian Church on May 9, at 10 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 p.m. at The Highland Manor.
