Unity Heritage Festival in Winter Park

The city of Winter Park will host the 21st installment of its Unity Heritage Festival beginning this weekend.

The festival will take place at Shady Park at Hannibal Square, located at the intersection of Pennsylvania and New England avenues, on Sunday, January 15 and Monday, January 16. The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday.

Activities include children’s games, career booths, food and retail vendors, as well as job training and health literacy. Various gospel artists, mimes, and praise dancers will perform on Sunday.

On Monday, Heritage Awards will be presented, and a Martin Luther King, Jr. symbolic program will take place at 11 a.m. The day’s festivities will continue with kids’ activities, food and retail vendors, Zoo Mom Science, and blues and jazz bands.
