VIDEO: Amazon delivery driver robbed at gunpoint inside vehicle

Two men were apprehended after robbing an Amazon delivery driver at gunpoint inside his vehicle after he delivered packages in an Orlando apartment complex.

Arkimase Divinard, 23, and Joel Aime, 22, were arrested by Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies in the days that followed the January 13 incident. Both suspects have an extensive criminal history and are being charged with armed robbery.

According to police, Arkimase and Aime are accused of ambushing an Amazon delivery driver while he was delivering packages at the Caden Apartments, which are located at 1953 Americana Boulevard in Orlando.

The driver told deputies that he had completed his deliveries in the apartment complex and was heading back to his delivery van when he noticed a man, since identified as Aime, standing near the drivers’ side of the vehicle.

The driver ignored Aime and entered the van through the rear sliding door on the vehicle’s passenger side. As the driver entered the van, a second man, who police have identified as Arkimase, entered the van’s cargo area and demanded the delivery driver give him his belongings.

Arkimase told the delivery driver he had a gun and wasn’t afraid to shoot him before he pulled out the gun and pointed it at the driver.

The men stole the delivery driver’s belongings and forced him to provide them with the passcode to his cellphone and pin code to his debit card.

After they robbed him, Arkimase and Aime looted the delivery vehicle and stole multiple packages, placing them into a white Honda van.

The suspects fled the scene and, through law enforcement databases, were later identified by police. Aime was tied to the scene through the vehicle, which he used in commission of a separate crime on Christmas Day.

While reviewing surveillance footage, detectives noted that one of the suspects had numerous distinct tattoos. Those tattoos were cross-referenced with photographs of Arkimase’s tattoos obtained from the Florida Department of Corrections. The tattoos were determined to be the same, according to police.

Arkimase and Aime have dozens of felony and misdemeanor convictions between the two of them. Both are being held with no bond.
