The mayor of Orange County tested positive for COVID-19 this week.
According to a press release from Orange County officials, Mayor Jerry L. Demings received confirmation of his positive COVID-19 status on Tuesday evening.
“Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings will be working from home this week,” reads a press release from Orange County Senior Public Information Officers Despina McLaughlin.
According to the release, Demings is fully vaccinated and boosted and is experiencing mild symptoms.
“The Mayor will continue to work on county business and participate in meetings from his home,” reads the release.
