Blanca Alicia Gonzalez

On March 11, 2023, Blanca Alicia González, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away, joining our heavenly father in heaven. Born on February 21, 1942, daughter of Dorotea González and Hipólito López. Blanca was born in Santa Ana, El Salvador.

She had two brothers, Freddy Antonio González López and David González López. Shee lived in San Juan la Isla and San Antonio el Pajonal in the early years of his life, but eventually naturalized in Guatemala, where she lived the rest of her life in San José Las Flores.

She met the first and only love of her life at the age of 16, José Ernesto Ruiz Abrego. José and Blanca got married and were able to procreate 7 beautiful sons and daughters, whom they loved with all their hearts until the last day of their lives. Her children who are Jose Nery Ruiz Gonzalez, Dilma Virginia Ruiz Gonzalez, Edgar Joel Ruiz Gonzalez, Walter Hidalgo Ruiz Gonzalez, Elmer Danilo Ruiz Gonzalez, Blanca Marisol Ruiz Gonzalez, Ever Noe Ruiz Gonzalez were able to give Blanca 17 loving grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Although Blanca loved her children every minute of her life…she lived blindly for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Blanca accepted God into her life from a very young age and lived devoted to his love from the age of 17.

Some of her hobbies included swimming, cooking, and traveling. Blanca loved being in the water, she was our little paw. She loved preparing meals for her family that were delicious, satisfying, and packed with nutrients. He lived to travel…he was able to visit so many beautiful places where he was able to make beautiful memories with his friends and family. She never stayed in one place; she was full of energy. So much so that his favorite word was “street”. Some of the locations included El Salvador, Honduras, the United States, and all of Guatemala. She enjoyed every little thing in life, but what he liked most was eating. Some of her favorite foods and snacks included sapote, salpores, tamales, pupusas, and caldo de gallina criolla. She was talkative, smiling and zealous when it came to the word of God.

She was fun and she loved being with young people. She felt alive, young and free when she was surrounded by youth. She was able to make friends in an instant. She was funny and she could laugh all day and night. We will never forget his laugh, his smell, and the beautiful memories and words of wisdom he left us. Her legacy is too big to fill, but not impossible to leave a trace of her with everyone.

She loved to shop, her favorite items to buy were plates and spoons. He had phrases for everyone and how he remembered them. We could always hope that she would be the first person to send you a happy birthday in the morning. She remembered everyone’s birthday until her last day. His favorite place to be was his house or as he liked to call it his “Ranchito”. He loved receiving milk from her cows every morning and never wanted to live anywhere else. He loved his “Ranchito”. She was loving and always had all her friends and family in mind. She was funny, elegant, loving, generous, thoughtful, adventurous… the list could go on forever, and we could never narrow it down. You could count on her for everything, and we will carry her wise words until our last days. Let’s remember her with the biggest radiant smile and with the biggest heart.

Her persistence and devotion to God, family and friends was unmatched. She would want us to be happy and rejoice because she is living forever in heaven and that one day we will see her again. Let’s carry on his legacy and his love, and let’s keep spreading his memories, jokes, recipes and phrases, and let’s follow in his footsteps for the rest of our lives. We are happy for the time that God allowed us to have her by our side and share wonderful moments with her family and friends.
