Robert Raymond Flynn

Robert Raymond Flynn, of Apopka, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday May 20th, 2022 after a 6 month battle with cancer.
Robert was born on May 19, 1955 in Miami, Florida alongside his best friend and twin brother, Gregory, to June and Raymond Flynn. The twins were 5 years old when the family moved to Winter Park and enrolled them in the St. Augustine School for the Deaf, where they later graduated in 1974.

He received a trade certificate in auto body work and immediately secured a job after graduation in the industry where he worked tirelessly for 45 years. 33 of those years he dedicated to Brennan Bodyworks in Orlando, FL.

Robert was married for 23 years to the love of his life, Kim, with whom he had two boys. His heart was broken after her tragic death in 2007.

Robert – also known as “Bobby” to many of his friends and family- loved a multitude of sports, cooking for those he loved, and the refreshing taste of a large jug of ice cold sweet tea. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, his life-long stubbornness, and his frequent tears of joy by all who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his mother June Corbitt Flynn, father Raymond Flynn, and Wife Kimberly Laney Flynn. He is survived by his sister Virginia Curtis, brother Gregory Flynn, two sons Andrew and Adam Flynn, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate the life of Robert R. Flynn on Saturday May 28th 10am at Woodlawn Funeral Home (400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL 34734). Funeral service will begin at 11am followed by graveside burial.
