Juneteenth celebrations throughout Seminole, Orange, Osceola counties

Multiple cities across Seminole, Orange, and Osceola Counties will host Juneteenth celebrations this weekend.

Across the tri-county area, multiple cities are celebrating and recognizing the holiday, which commemorates the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States, this weekend.

On Saturday, June 17, city of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, District 5 Commissioner Regina I. Hill, and District 6 Commissioner Bakari F. Burns will host a Juneteenth Celebration at Clear Lake Park from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Clear Lake Park (2301 29th Street). The event will feature live music and entertainment, a kid’s zone, a vendor village, and food trucks.

The city of Kissimmee will host its celebration on Saturday, June 17, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Lakefront Park, which is located at 201 Lakeview Drive. The event will feature live music, food, and craft vendors.

The city of Winter Park will host its Juneteenth celebration on Saturday, June 17, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Winter Park Community Center, which is located at 721 W. New England Ave in Winter Park.

The city of Longwood will host its celebration on Saturday, June 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Reiter Park, which is located at 311 W Warren Avenue. The event will feature live music by Silkee Smoove Band Hall, food trucks, water slides, vendors, and more.

The city of Sanford will host its celebration on Saturday, June 17 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Ft. Mellon Park, located at 600 E. 1st Street in Sanford. The event will feature over 60 vendors, DJ Dalastmo, and live performances by Kel Beezy, Vicky B, Jabez Mitchem, and Zea Music.
