A 78-year-old man was killed yesterday afternoon after three individuals allegedly stole his vehicle and shot him in a CVS parking lot in northwest Orlando.
Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to the shooting at the CVS located at 6217 Silver Star Road on Sunday, January 30, at around 3:25 p.m.
Upon arriving on the scene, authorities located Uken Lloyd Cummings, who had been shot, in the parking lot.
Cummings was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
Detectives with the sheriff’s office believe that Cummings was carjacked by three suspects, who used his keys to get into his car and flee from the scene.
“At this time, we are not releasing additional information, including the vehicle or suspect description,” reads a statement from the police. “Please be patient and allow our detectives to do their work so we can find these murderers and bring them to justice.”
