Two men killed, one injured in Bay County plane crash identified as Orlando residents

Two men that were killed and another that was injured in a plane crash in Bay County on Monday have been identified as Orlando residents.

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office, Northwest Florida Beaches Airport Police, and fire rescue responded to a plane crash around 4:19 p.m. on Monday, June 6.

The crash took place just south of the runway of Northwest Florida Beaches Airport, which is located at 6300 W Bay Parkway in Panama City.

Three people were onboard the downed plane: 54-year-old Ernesto Rosias, 44-year-old Corey L. Lamb, and 44-year-old Sertrone Starks.

According to police, Rosias and Lamb were killed by the accident, while Sertrone was listed in critical condition as of Monday evening.

The aircraft involved in the crash was a 1979 Piper PA-28RT-201, fixed wing, single engine plane.

The investigation into the crash will be handled by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
