Pizza Bruno opens new location in College Park

A well-known pizza restauranteur has opened a new location in College Park.

After multiple years at its location on Curry Ford Road, Pizza Bruno opened its second location at 2429 Edgewater Drive in College Park in early October.

The original location was founded by 20-year Orlando resident Bruno Zacchini in 2016, with the new restaurant’s menu showcasing a variety of Italian dishes. That includes spaghetti, rigatoni, casarecce, and mafaldine, all made in-house.

As its name suggests, the restaurant’s main focus is 16″ pizzas made in the style of South Jersey, where Zacchini is from. Pizzas come in multiple varieties, including classics like margherita and tomato pie, as well as specialty pizzas like the wild boi, which featured roasted wild mushrooms, cheese, ricotta, and parsley.

The restaurant also offers a lunch menu with pizza-by-the slice options, as well as hoagies.

Before diving into the pizza game, Zacchini operated Bruno’s Bites, a popular food cart, and worked with notable chefs and restaurants in the greater Orlando area, including Third Wave Cafe in New Smyrna Beach.

Pizza Bruno joins a changing slate of businesses in College Park, which has seen the closures of three restaurants in recent weeks. That includes El Vic’s Indian Cuisine and Thai Farm Kitchen, which both closed their doors in September. Last month, Jade Sushi & New Asian closed its restaurant located next door to the pizza restaurant. Just a few doors down, Freehand Goods is currently working on opening a new, Florida apparel shop in the former home of El Vic’s.

The College Park location is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. For more information on the business, its menu, or its catering services, visit the Pizza Bruno website.
