Proper vinyl listening lounge opening in downtown Orlando this weekend

A new cocktail bar opening this weekend will offer a unique listening experience for record and music enthusiasts alike.

Proper will officially open its doors at 112 South Orange Avenue during a grand opening celebration from Friday, April 14 through Sunday, April 16.

Special guest DJ Master Kev will perform on Saturday, April 15.

Tickets must be reserved and presented to gain entry on any of the days. The business is currently offering different time slots. For more information, visit the Proper Grand Opening Weekend event page.

Located between EVE and SideBar in downtown Orlando, unlike its counterparts downtown, Proper will offer listening experiences through HiFi and LoFi turntables for those looking to explore the world of vinyl. The lounge will also feature a variety of local DJs and performers who will provide a musical backdrop for visitors.

Last week, the business hosted a soft opening celebration at their new digs. The new business is owned by The V Group, which also operates Gitto’s Pizza, Room 22, Novelty at 101 Hanson’s Shoe Repair, BauHaus, and SideBar.

Proper joins an ever-changing landscape of bars and restaurants that call downtown Orlando home. Over the past year, multiple well-known establishments have closed their doors and been replaced by new concepts.

Last June, High Tide replaced Latitudes at its Church Street location, which had stood for over two decades. Next door, 1Up Orlando celebrated the opening of its new arcade themed venue just a couple months later. One more door down, High-T is currently working on a new, Alice in Wonderland-themed cocktail bar. Just up the road, Parlay, Bellhop, and Fixtion all celebrated grand openings over the past year.

For more information on the new listening lounge, visit the Proper Orlando website and follow them through social media.
