Waste tire collection event in Seminole County

Seminole County residents will have an opportunity to dispose of their tires at a waste collection event this weekend.

On Saturday, April 15, the county will host a free waste tire collection event from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Central Transfer Station (1950 CR 419, Longwood) and the Seminole County Landfill (1930 E Osceola Rd, Geneva).

Residents of Seminole County, Maitland, and Winter Park may bring up to five tires to the event. No large tires from trucks will be accepted at the event, only small tires. Each vehicle may dispose of a maximum of ten tires, or five each from two customers of different households.

Tires are not accepted at the curbside, but those who are not able to attend the event are encouraged to bring up to four tires to either site during normal business hours.
