Peru Independence Celebration at Orlando Museum of Art

The Orlando Museum of Art is hosting a Peru Independence Day Celebration this weekend.

The celebration will take place Sunday, July 23, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Orlando Museum of Art, which is located at 2416 N. Mills Ave. in Orlando.

This event offers an opportunity to explore the heritage of Peru through Afro-Peruvian music. From the rhythms of festejo and tondero to the melodies of landó and zamacueca, these musical genres are accompanied by dance and ritual traditions that tell stories of joy, sorrow, celebration, and longing.
