An individual wanted in connection with the double homicide of a man and woman in an Orlando neighborhood was found dead by a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Monday.
According to a statement issued by the Orlando Police Department, officers found the body of the suspect on August 28 during the execution of a search warrant.
The suspect, who was identified on Tuesday as 52-year-old Michael Barclay, was wanted in connection with a shooting that claimed the lives of a man and woman. During that incident, police responded to the 3000 block of Azolla Street at around 6:45 a.m. on Monday in reference to a shooting.
Upon arrival, a man and woman were located and pronounced deceased at the scene.
Less than 24 hours later, police found Barclay dead from a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
Police say they believe the incident is domestic in nature and that they are not looking for any additional suspects in the case.
