Bar closes for rodent activity two months after previous closure

Just over two months after a bar along State Road 434 in Winter Springs was forced to temporarily close for rodent activity, the business was forced to close again after it was cited for similar issues during a failed health inspection.

Khaos, which is located at 178 SR 434 in Winter Springs, was forced to close on Monday, October 9, after an inspector with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation cited at least five health code violations.

According to the health inspector’s report, among the three high priority violations was the presence of rodent activity, as evidenced by at least 10 rat droppings found in the beer storage room. Approximately 3 more droppings were found in the bar area.

Additionally, one live roach was spotted on a wall below the bar area.

The business was reinspected on October 10 and was permitted to reopen after no violations were observed.

Last week’s closure was the second for the business in the past two months. On August 8, Khaos was forced to close after over 60 rat droppings were found around the restaurant.
