The Current Seafood Counter building out new location in College Park

A seafood restaurant with a location inside Henry’s Depot in Downtown Sanford is expanding into the Orlando area.

The Current Seafood Counter is currently building out a new space at 2425 Edgewater Drive in College Park.

The restaurant is situated next to the recently opened second location of Pizza Bruno. It replaces former tenant Jade Sushi and New Asian, which closed its restaurant in November after over ten years in business.

The Current Seafood Counter offers fast-casual dining and offers various fresh seafood options. Its menu features shrimp, scallops, clam strips, Mahi, grouper, lobster rolls, catfish, and other seasonally available seafood.

The new restaurant joins an ever-changing landscape of restaurants in College Park.

In September, El Vic’s Kitchen closed its Indian restaurant after the business was unable to renew its lease at the space. Freehand Goods is currently building out the space to sell its Florida-focused apparel and merchandise.

That same month, Thai Farm Kitchen closed its doors after less than eight months in business.
