Cat killed after fire consumes home in Chuluota

A fire consumed a home in Chuluota on Tuesday and claimed the life of a cat.

Units from the Seminole County Fire Department, Oviedo Fire Department, and Orange County Fire Rescue Department responded to a structure fire in Chuluota on Tuesday, January 10, at around 12 p.m.

The first arriving units advised that smoke and flames were visible from the structure and initiated a fast attack.

One patient was given medical attention and suffered minor injuries.

Two cats were recovered from the property. One of the cats was administered oxygen, while another succumbed to its injuries.
