Lucille DeSouza

Lucille DeSouza, 94, of Orlando, FL departed this life on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Lucille was born on April 4, 1928 in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, WI. She relocated to the United States in 1967. She attended Bronx Community College and received her CNA certificate; after which she obtained a position at Dewitts Nursing Home and worked there for 35 years until retirement, she then relocated to Orlando, Florida.

Lucille was a woman of great wisdom. She dedicated her life to serving her family and church. She instilled love, wisdom, and Christian values for all of her family to follow. She was an active member of Grace Bible Church until her health began to decline. She loved her family and showed love to everyone. Lucille was and will continue to be an inspiration to us all for living life in an exemplary way. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Lucille is survived by her son, Terrance DeSouza; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several neices, nephews; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 4-6PM at the mortuary. A service of celebration will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, 11:00 AM at Grace Bible Church of Central Florida, 801 Dorscher Road, Orlando with Pastor Gene Pritchard, officiating. Interment: Orlando Memorial Gardens, Apopka.
