Free breakfast and lunch all summer for Seminole County children and teens

The Seminole County Public School system and state are working together to offer free breakfast and lunch meals to local children and teenagers ages 18 and under.

Summer BreakSpot, which is a federally funded program established to fill the hunger gap, kicks off on Tuesday, May 30 and will continue through the end of the summer term at most schools in Seminole County.

The program offers the free, nutritious meals and snacks for breakfast and lunch at various schools around the county. The program provides an interactive map that shows which meals are available and at what times for each participating school.

Although menus vary, the meals include breakfasts like waffles and sausage, pancakes and cheese sticks, cereal, and lunches like hamburgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, pizza, and salads.

For more information on the program, the menu of meals, or the times and locations, visit the Summer BreakSpot website.
