Dolores Elizabeth Spinella

Dolores Elizabeth Spinella, 91, died Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at the home of her son and his family, where she too was living. Her Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1501 N. Alafaya Trail, Orlando on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 beginning at 10:00 am.

Dolores was born, July 24, 1930 in Shenandoah, Pa. After her high school graduation; she had many occupations. She was a waitress, singer, painter/artist, counselor and real estate agent. When her husband, Glenn retired, Dolores dedicated her time volunteering for the Church. After the death of Glenn, she went back to working as a counselor at JMJ Pregnancy Center. She helped women decide in the choice of life for their babies or adoption. Dolores had hobbies such as, crocheting and ceramics. She loved traveling and had the opportunity to live in other countries since her husband had been a Naval officer and pilot.

Dolores was a devout and unwavering Christian. She was dedicated to her family and those she helped. She is survived by her two children, Duane Spinella, wife, Katharine and her daughter, Judith Spinella-Pontecorvi, husband, Sergio. Dolores had two stepsons, Glenn Steven Spinella and Mark Spinella. She had nine grandchildren; Brian, Dena, Jennifer, Sarah, Tyler, Christian, Daniel, Nicholas and Alexander. Additionally, she had six great-grandchildren.
