Orange County woman wins $1 million in scratch-off purchased at Apopka deli

An Orange County woman claimed a $1 million prize from a scratch-off ticket she purchased at an Apopka deli this week.

According to the Florida Lottery, 50-year-old Florenda Zelaya claimed the $1,000,000 prize from the 500X The Cash Scratch-Off game from the lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

Zelaya purchased her winning ticket from the All In One Deli located at 1488 East Semoran Boulevard in Apopka. The retailer received $2,000 as a bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

Zelaya chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump sum payment of $820,000.
