Pet parade, festival at Lake Eola Park this weekend

Paws in the Park, a pet parade and festival, will return to Lake Eola Park this weekend.

The 28th annual installment of the event will take place on Saturday, February 12, beginning at 10 a.m. at the park (512 E Washington Street).

The event is hosted by the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando and will feature a variety of pet vendors, lure courses, dock diving, adoptions, food trucks, and a pet costume contest.

According to event organizers, last year’s event generated over $110,000 for the organization.

This year, the group hopes to generate over $150,000. As of Tuesday morning, that total sits at just over $130,000.
