An 18-year-old male is facing second degree murder charges after he was arrested for his alleged connection to the shooting death of an Orlando teenage girl.
According to a press release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, homicide detectives arrested Michael Necy on Thursday morning on a warrant for second degree murder.
Necy is being charged in the murder of 17-year-old Shanaya Charles, who was found with gunshot wounds on Friday, January 7, at the Castilian Apartments located at 1664 Holden Avenue. Charles was transported to a local hospital where she later died.
