Martha Stevens

Martha Stevens passed peacefully with her family at her side on 11/04/2022 due to heart complications. Born in Pennsylvania 07/16/1953 she is survived by her husband Russell Stevens, son and daughter-in-law Richard and Sherri Stevens, daughter Tristina Stevens, daughter and son-in-law Laura and Tommy Jackson and many grandchildren.

For those who knew her, Martha was often regarded as funny, kind, caring and occasionally misunderstood. She loved with all she had and didn’t hesitate to show it. She most certainly was the kind of person that could only be described as having a “heart of gold”! She didn’t know a stranger, and would offer the shirt off her back to anyone willing to accept it. At times those around her would be concerned she gave too much to too many for no reward, but that was just her way! She loved her law enforcement and local fire department and often would take them fresh baked cookies during the holidays. She enjoyed playful arguments with those she loved and adored, playing games around the dinner table with family and especially going to work with Wally… that was almost always the highlight of her day. She would tell you anything you wanted to know about her, maybe even a little more than you wanted to know sometimes… but that was Martha! She never had anything to hide, always had an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on or just a casual conversation, it didn’t matter, she was there. Martha had been through many heartaches in the past, and from what I understand, a troubled childhood. She, however, never let the gloomy past dull her shine!

A memorial service to celebrate Martha’s life, will be held at the Winter Garden Elks Lodge #2165. 700 9th Street, Winter Garden, FL 34787 on Saturday November 26, 2022 from 1pm to 5pm.
