St Johns River Festival returns to Sanford this weekend

The St. Johns River Festival will return to Sanford for its eleventh installment this weekend.

The event will return on Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Historic Downtown Sanford.

The festival will encompass First Street, Myrtle Avenue, Palmetto Avenue, and Second Street. Over 150 acclaimed local, regional, and national artists will have their works on display during the weekend event.

The event is free to attend and will feature live art performances, food, craft beer, and art workshops, among other activities. All proceeds from the event support the Art-For-Kids Scholarship program, which provides free art classes to children in Seminole County.

“We are happy to bring the community and art lovers together again with the return of the arts festival,” said Kim House, President of St. Johns River Festival of the Arts. “This event truly wouldn’t be possible without our sponsors and the support from the city and volunteers. We’re so grateful to everyone who makes it a success each year.”
