A Vietnamese restaurant near downtown Orlando was temporarily closed for a second time since May after it was cited for over a dozen health code violations, including the presence of rodent activity.
Saigon Noodle and Grill was forced to temporarily close its location at 2405 E Washington Street/101 N Bumby Avenue in Orlando’s Milk District on Monday, September 11, according to a report filed by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
At least 14 violations were cited during the inspection, including 2 considered high priority.
Among the high priority complaints was the presence of rodent activity, as evidenced by at least 30 rat droppings that were found in storage areas and under shelving in the kitchen.
Additionally, the restaurant was cited for keeping several foods at too high of a temperature, including steak and sprouts.
The restaurant was reinspected on the same day and was permitted to reopen after only seven violations remained.
